Hidden Gem in Marbella, Spain: B&B Casa Las Palmeras

Depending on my mood, I love finding out of the way, smaller B&Bs to stay at when we travel. I tend to find great spots so my boyfriend is happy to let me search and pretty much goes with whatever I find. So far my run has been quite good. I stumbled upon another fabulous place when we decided to visit Marbella, Spain.

For nearly all of our bookings I consult TripAdvisor to see how hotels rate. It always helps to see not only the professional pictures (read: perfect lighting, wide angles, spit-shined rooms) but also pictures that travelers themselves have taken.

As normal, I was on TripAdvisor when planning for Spain and stumbled across the rave reviews for B&B Casa Las Palmeras. It turned out to be the perfect place to stay for our time in southern Spain.

A few of the selling points:

  • the B&B is adult-only
  • there’s a lovely pool
  • it’s small and intimate with only 4 rooms
  • the cost of the stay included a full, delicious┬ábreakfast
  • it look so cute and inviting in the pictures!

The hosts, Tina and Odile were simply amazing, even as I first contacted them to set up the reservation they were extremely helpful and answered all of my questions.

Tips for staying at Casa Las Palmeras:

Casa Las Palmeras is situated in a residential area up on a hill and you definitely need a car. It’s a little tricky to find so if you have a GPS it’ll make your life a little easier.

The Old Town is about a 10-15 min drive from the B&B and the beach is a 5 min drive down the hill.

The location is remote and there is no view, but the gardens and pool are immaculate and it was perfect for what we were looking for.

The location makes for a great jumping off point to a variety of sites: we traveled to Old Town Marbella, Rhonda and even Seville (whew..that was a long day trip. I think 2.5 hrs each way).

If you’re looking for a relaxing, quiet getaway in Marbella Spain, I recommend taking a look at Casa Las Palmeras!
